You will meet our guide in front of the subway exit “Colosseum” for this trip to Ancient Rome.

     Visit Colosseum

Time to visit the Colosseum, the symbol of Rome and Italy. It was built by Emperor Vespasian to entertain the Roman people, rich and poor. Here they had very different spectacles from each other. The most appreciated were the fights between gladiators and between gladiators and “venatorie” (fights with ferocious animals). The Colosseum, this huge building where 50,000 spectators could quickly be accommodated, sheltered by huge sails.  The Colosseum is still the reference model for the construction of modern stadiums.

     Visit Forum Romanum

The second part of the tour is a journey into the life of Ancient Rome. The Roman Forum is the largest archaeological site in the world. Your guide will help you bring thousands of years of history back to life through anecdotes and legends. You will understand how the architecture of modern Christian Basilicas was studied right here. In fact, in the Roman Forum there were the remains of the ancient basilicas which, of course, had other functions. The basilicas Emilia and Julia are still recognizable, like the temples of Divo Julio, Vespasian and Saturn and many other buildings. The Arches of Triumph are very well preserved.

     Visit Palatino

The Palatine Hill is the oldest area of Rome, where Romulus founded the “Square Rome”, destined to become the largest empire in the world. Augustus, Tiberius, Maxentius and many others decided to build their palaces here, between the remains of Romulus’ walls and the huts of 4,000 years ago. A curiosity: it is precisely from Palatine that the name Palazzo derives. Its panoramic position offers an incomparable view.
