Galleria Borghese

The 17th century villa-museum was commissioned by Cardinal Scipione Borghese and houses his precious art collection. You will admire exciting paintings such as Caravaggio’s “David with the head of Goliath” and “Sacred love and profane love” by Titian and other world-famous masterpieces. You will know the stories behind these paintings.

Canova and Bernini

Inside the Galleria Borghese there are exhibitions of priceless works of art by two great Italian masters, Canova and Bernini. One of the most remarkable works, as well as symbol of the Museum, is the sculpture by Canova “Paolina Bonaparte”, Napoleon’s sister. Among other masterpieces, the spectacular “Apollo and Daphne” is one of the most incredible statues ever sculpted.

Gardens of Villa Borghese

The Borghese Gallery is housed in the Villa Borghese park, much loved by the Romans for the uniqueness of its embrace, a mixture of culture and nature. Our guide will tell you its history, skirting the famous little lake. You will reach the Pincio terrace overlooking Piazza del Popolo; a panoramic place not to be missed!
